Franco Cavaleri is a biomedical research scientist focused on the pharmacology and therapeutic potential of natural medicines. With a BSc in Human Nutrition and a postgraduate PhD candidate (current status), Franco is focused on nutritional biochemistry and nutraceutical pharmacology along with the pathology of inflammation and inflammatory disease. His current doctoral initiative is being executed at UBC Faculty of Medicine/ Experimental Medicine.
Franco Cavaleri is a Ph.D. candidate in the last phase of a doctoral program at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine and holds a B.Sc. in Nutritional Science. Franco’s first phase work in the PhD program led to completion of relevant Review Papers currently published in – Elsevier’s Medical Hypothesis. These articles present his findings and views on Alzheimer’s disease and are accessible through public medical library archives- Pubmed. In these peer-reviewed forums he presents a new perspective on Alzheimer’s disease; a new model for the pathology and potentially a new approach to the treatment and prevention. He also proposes a link between Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
Curcuminoid pharmacology is a central research interest for this scientist on which he has generated journal articles that are currently in the queue for publication. Journal papers are in review phase and present his latest breakthrough laboratory findings that support novel discovery and recent patent applications on the anti-inflammatory activity of curcuminoids.
A former soccer player and competitive bodybuilder, Cavaleri has won several titles including the pro-qualifier, IFBB Mr. North American Bodybuilding Championships.
J. Craig Goodwin is a Co-founder of Naturally Splendid and currently holds the titles of CEO & President as well as Director. Craig has been instrumental in the transition from private Company to public Company in 2013
In addition to his role as CEO, Craig’s responsibilities include International Business Development. In 2016, Naturally Splendid was a leader in exporting bulk hemp products to South Korea and during that time the Company’s gross sales increased over 500%.
Currently, Craig is developing business in South Korea, Japan, China, the United States, the EU and Australia. Previous to his appointment as CEO of Naturally Splendid, Craig accumulated over 30 years of sales and marketing experience including Senior Account Executive for one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the world, The Jim Pattison Sign Group. While with The Jim Pattison Sign Group, Craig was one of the most successful sales executives in Canada and received numerous awards for outstanding sales achievements.
In addition to sales and marketing Craig has consulted for numerous public companies providing services from corporate communication, business development, as well as raising Venture Capital. Over his career Craig has raised or has participated in raising over $50,000,000 for various projects.
Bryan’s vision of a company distributing healthy food choices is a driving force behind Naturally Splendid® and the foundations of which this company originated. For the past four years Bryan has overseen the operations of Naturally Splendid® including establishing supply channels, packaging and product development. Bryan’s insight and vision has proved invaluable as part of the management team.
Mr. Carson created, operated and sold a successful retail store in Vancouver, B.C. His hands-on retail expertise from the conceptual planning stages through construction and launch are of great value in developing our relationship with major food distribution channels.
Mike is an energetic, entrepreneurial technology executive with expertise in building on new business opportunities. Currently Mike is VP of Business Development for Biologic Pharmamedical. Prior to Biologic, he was President of Urban Communications, a publicly traded Vancouver based fiber optic telecommunications company. Leading up to joining Urban, Mike was responsible for all M&A activity at Teliphone Navigata Westel, a 60-year-old telecom company based in Vancouver, BC. Previously, Mike was the CEO of Uniserve Communications. Uniserve is a publicly owned national Canadian ISP, delivering data and voice solutions to residential and commercial customers. Mike’s extensive sales and technology background came from when he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing and a founding member of Parasun Technologies. There he successfully built a sales and marketing team that progressively made Parasun an industry leader and pioneer in Internet delivery over cable through their SaaS based provisioning software platform.
Mike also keeps an active role as a board member and investor for many technology companies.
Mike has equal passion for life outside the office. He is an avid sportsman, taking advantage of the incredible amenities that Vancouver, Canada has to offer. You’ll find him snowboarding and skiing in the winter on family ski trips.
